Head of EP Academic Affairs

Whether you are students, parents or staff members in the English Program I would like to welcome you to the new academic year,. I’m looking forward to another year with our returning students and staff members and warmly welcome the new entrants to the English Program. This year we are going to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our English Program. In the changing dynamics of the world, Thailand is going be part of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), therefore, practical English skills are very important, not only for learning purposes but also for better job opportunities.

On the academic front, this year we have changed our academic administrators in order to provide more efficient work and an English atmosphere in the workplace. We are also introducing Project Based Learning (PBL) for teaching students with a systematic thinking approach. Reading books were ordered for all levels; there are opportunities for students to study vocabulary in order to expand their speaking and writing skills. Field trips for the primary levels are set up for learning outside of the classroom, in real learning environments and an English atmosphere. The IELTS and SAT intensive courses will run for students in secondary 6 to be sure that their scores will reach the required standards and that they will able to apply to universities all over the world.

Congratulations to our Alumni Batch 4 on their successes to university admission. Sometimes things take longer than you expect, only because we seek quality and sustainability. We strive to provide education at an international level. With great academic programs, dedicated staff, a high quality of teaching and full facilities classroom, I encourage each and every one of you to make a special effort to get involved with EP activities.

As we move forward, I am confident that Assumption Samutprakarn School’s English Program will continue to provide the quality of international education school standards and be one of top 10 English Programs in Thailand. This will be another exciting academic year, and I’m looking forward to seeing the English Program’s continued sustainable growth and success.

Best regards,
Ms. Kanokwan Kaewmak
