ACSP EP and Assumption University School of Architecture and Design

On January 26, 2024, EP Secondary 4 CIMD (Creative and Innovative Media Design) students and Mr. Thossaphol Nakhrue, an ICT teacher, went to Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design, Assumption University for their final project presentation and exam. Assistant Professors Ms. Chutarat Laomanacharoen, Ms. Orn Laor Homsettee, and Mr. Thossaphol Nakhrue facilitated the examination and the presentation of students’ projects.

Pongsapak Whankaew, a student majoring in S4 CIMD said, “the final project presentation and exam were both a challenge, as the professors required us to know how to use the 3D design programs (Sharpr3D and Creality Slicer) and we had to learn it from scratch. We started by making a rough draft of our ideal structure on paper. It could be a ferris wheel, suspension bridge, etc. After that, we sketch it through the Sharpr3D program and print it out using Creality Slicer for the presentation and exam. The entire process was divided into three (3) parts: ideation, structure analysis, and 3D model. Overall, I learned a lot and am confident to apply this knowledge when I enter university. I would like to pursue a degree related to Media Design”.

These activities are under the CIMD project, a collaboration between the Assumption Samutprakarn School English Program and the Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design, Assumption University. Both institutions jointly designed and created the CIMD curriculum for teaching and the learning plan for the Secondary-level English Program.
