English Department Best Practice Training
On 6 October 2023, the English Department held the Best Practice Training at Novotel Bangkok, Bangna. This training was organised to encourage teachers to work collaboratively and gain ideas from colleagues to improve general teaching methods. Teachers also built interpersonal relationships with their colleagues and had the opportunity to share and gain pedagogical tips and techniques with other staff.
Three teachers were tasked to present material on different topics from the past year which shows effective results in the classroom. Then, all teachers brainstormed and shared suggestions/recommendations on how to improve and if it can be integrated across year levels. After the presentations, teachers got into groups and used the ideas discussed to create lesson plans on a chosen topic. Lastly, each group shared their lesson plans, which prompted more discussion and planning for the future.
It was a productive day, with many great ideas explored together to reinvigorate the team for the new semester. The EP would like to thank the organizers and all teachers for their active involvement, in particular our presenters, Master Rich, Miss Lauren, and Master Jonathan.
