English Program Math Department: STEM project

On 23-27 January 2023, Primary 1 to Secondary 3 students performed well in the STEM project activities during Mathematics week. These activities were organized by the Math department in support of STEM teaching. STEM is an educational program developed to prepare primary and secondary students for college, graduate study and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The students produced their own daily or personal problems and made a design and a model to help them solve their problems. Their findings were presented by their teams and later the results and models were shown at school. Some of the topics were: Building the biggest tower possible using basic shapes, the use of 2D shapes to create a picture, how to protect your house from tropical storms, how to get up early if you have difficulties waking up, how to get a heavy backpack up the staircases, redesign packages to reduce the use of materials, protecting yourself from balls flying around, solutions for traffic problems in the capital city, Bangkok, what features a future house may have and heating up food without any electricity.
The students presented their findings through a various set of outcomes, such as billboard and presentations. Later, the models were displayed in the EP building.
