Secondary 1 and 2 Presentation Training
Secondary 1 and 2 students participated in the “Presentation Training” event, run by Mr. Graeme Kay and Mr. Alex Stewart. This activity was designed to train students in the skills they need to deliver a presentation effectively.
The activity started with Mr. Alex and Mr. Graeme hilariously presenting about their home country of England. Throughout the presentation there were intended mistakes, which students had to correct, whilst also identifying the rare moments in which the presenters performed suitably.
During this activity, students learnt key skills such as slide design, presentation mannerisms, proper use of media, verbal skills, and how to best engage an audience. On completion of the example presentation, students were given the opportunity to practice their newly acquired skills by presenting briefly on a random topic displayed on the board.
Students showed a strong level of understanding of the presentation concepts which will further aid them throughout their time at ACSP and in their future careers.
