ACSP EP EGL Study Trip: Emerald Buddha and Grand Palace
EGL (English as a Global Language) students from Secondary 1-3 went on a study trip to the Emerald Buddha and Grand Palace in Bangkok on 30 November 2022. This study trip was organized by Ms. Sasitorn Kohnoi and Ms. Rungnapa Laingam with the following objectives: for the EGL students to be able to communicate with tourists confidently, conduct a prepared survey to gather information on how much tourists know about Thailand while visiting the famous attractions in the country, and summarize the gathered information for their EGL presentation.
The students were split into 6 groups and each group successfully asked 5-8 foreigners to do the survey. The survey questions include frequently asked questions to tourists such as what is the capital of Thailand, what is its main river, etc. The students gathered their courage and were able to communicate properly and politely with the respondents.
This was a valuable experience for the students and will serve as a guideline for behaviour when they travel to other countries. Please look forward to the presentation they will perform soon in their EGL class.
