S3 Mathematics: Precision through Equations

Secondary 3 students learned that the real power of equations is that they provide a very precise way to describe various features of the world. (That is why a solution to an equation can be useful, when one can be found). Learning the basics is a vital step to take before one can understand the complex ones, specially in the context of real world.

Given the hours that all mathematics teachers spend instructing their students how to solve equations like the activity planned by our teacher, Mr. Muhammad Tamin, it would be easy to assume that the most important thing to do with an equation is to find a solution. The students also learned that they have more ways to deal with certain problems even if it is not a mathematical one.
