Dear Teachers:
We’re happy to have our teachers returning to school and a special welcome to the new teachers joining us. Teachers, we cannot thank you enough for the support and effort put forward. Your commitment to excellence is evident. It has been said that, ‘A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart’. We must not forget the dedicated and passionate staff who make ACSP a “place where dreams come true”
We want your stay to be happy and successful at Assumption Samutprakarn School and believe that you play a key role in this success. That role is to continually show interest in and support your students and the Assumption staff. The staff member who is interested in and supports the school program will always have fewer problems and enjoy greater success.
Students, It is always a pleasure to be able to address young minds. Children are our tomorrow - our future. Bright faces that I see here showing and performing their talents will be the citizens of tomorrow. The diligence and effort you have given to your academic performance here at ASCP serves as an example and inspiration to so many, and if it is any indication of the effort you will put into life, you will be successful in all you do.
At Assumption Samutprakarn School, we try to create a safe environment where courtesy and kindness prevail and where there is respect for differences in people, customs and cultures. We believe in fair and consistent discipline that encourages teachers to be responsible.
❖The goal of life is to realize spiritual truth which will lead to a new spiritual life.
❖ All mankind needs to work; diligence leads to success.
In 2006, during Brother Sakda Kitcharoen’ s term governance, the ACSP English Program (EP) was introduced to serve students with an excellent academic program.
Initially, the program had only three classes: Prathom 1, Prathom 4 and Matthayom 1, with five foreign teachers and six Thai teachers. Each following year, the program kept growing until all 24 classes were full, six years later. Currently, there are over 664 students, 33 foreign teachers and 31 Thai teachers.
This year is our 12th anniversary and the school would like to congratulate out Grade XII student who performed so brilliantly that 49% of them managed to get admitted in prestigious government universities, 41% in private universities and the remaining 10% went oversea for their further studies. The school sincerely wishes the present Grade XII batch would emulate the good example of their seniors. The English Program attempts to create international atmosphere of learning because we would like our students to feel confident in using English as a means for acquiring their knowledge and communication with other people efficiently.
We would like them to be able to collaborate between themselves so that when the leave the school they will continue using this ability to cooperate with everybody around them to work for the community and society at large. The English Program is trying our best to provide our students with every possible equipment to cultivate creativity, problem-solving skills and thirst for knowledge.
We also provide them with every possible facility to encourage them to work as teams, and present their assigned projects professionally. This year we start the discovery room to encourage our students to promote enquiry skill. In addition, we also have a multi-function room, World-culture studies room, an auditorium and students’ lounge to satisfy their interests in searching for any up-to-date breakthrough in various fields. We also introduce iPad as a means to develop their potentials and keep up with the modern development of technology.
To guarantee the standards of learning and teaching, ACSP has acquired the accreditation from Cambridge International Examination as a Cambridge School which authorizes ACSP to utilize Cambridge resource materials in the teaching of our students. Moreover, the school also becomes the examination ground for various Cambridge Examinations such as Cambridge Primary Checkpoint and Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint Examinations and we plan to offer these two Cambridge Examinations at the beginning of next year to our students who are willing to take them. Furthermore, ACSP has signed MOU with some world-renowned organizations such as, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, Tokyo International University and Asia University of Japan. We received the acknowledgement from Thai authorities as well. They are the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA) and the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC).
