M1 Students, wrote and then performed their own skits.

The first had to decide what the skit should be about, and then write a play based on their idea. They learnt how to write a script, including narratives, characters, and introducing situations and scenes. They also learnt how to perform on stage: movement, emotions, body language, and facial expression. The activity strengthened their ability in writing, listening and speaking. In addition, it boosted their confidence, creativity and thinking skills. I think that the students enjoyed this activity, they revelled in the chance to show their parents, teachers and friends, the skits they had written, and also speaking and communicating confidently in English.
