Primary 1-Secondary 6 Social Studies: Follow the King’s Footsteps
The Social Studies Department organized the Follow the King’s Footsteps for Primary 1 to Secondary 6 students. This activity aims to teach students 2 things. The first is about His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s philosophy, specifically the sufficiency economy which was conceived and developed from over 60 years of tireless work to improve the lives of Thai people and bring them genuine and lasting happiness. The second is to show how to use 3D models to teach concepts and to make presentations more dynamic and interactive.
The students prepared the following events: creating cards for saving (level 1), saving for the future (level 2), save the world (level 3), and sufficiency economy (level 4). Each student's work was displayed at the ground floor of St. Gabriel building. The Primary 2 maps of community, Primary 4 urban & suburban 3D models, and Primary 5 papier-mâché were also shown for the event.
EP would like to thank the event organizers, Ms. Suprapa Khamsuk, Mr. Alex Stewart, Ms. Madison Baumstimler, and Ms. Leah Senkge as well as Ms. Chonnanat Kuntarapanupong for the background design. Congratulations to all students, teachers, parents, and the school community for the success of the exhibition.
