On Friday the 26th of November Assumption College Samutprakarn English Program invited world renowned Maths teacher and teacher trainer Dr. Yeap Ban Har from Singapore for teacher professional development.

Throughout the day, many mathematical teaching topics were raised, taught and discussed. These topics included, but were not limited to anchor tasks, journal writing, classroom routines and indicators of high level maths learning. Dr. Ban Har brought attention to many ideas and provided more insight than we could imagine. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all teachers and staff who attended, and we will endeavour to bring change to our maths classrooms over the coming years.

As a mathematics department, each and every teacher, strongly believes that every child can learn and succeed and this fact was also reinforced during the seminar.
