P2 and P6 Loy Krathong: Making the Illuminated Path

This week, English Program organized the Loy Krathong: Making the Illuminated Path in the Career subject for Primary learners with the help of Ms. Amornpan Seesuk and Ms. Phochanee Palalee. The goal of this activity is to integrate and promote Thai traditions of crafting Krathongs in a multicultural society. It will also help students to have skills in making creative workpieces as well as understand buoyancy, floating or sinking, which is learned in their Science subject.

This activity also serves as a precious moment for students and parents to bond and have a quality time. The whole country will celebrate "Loy Krathong Day" this Friday, 19th November. Thai people make Krathongs to worship and ask for forgiveness, wave goodbye to misfortune, wash away sins of the past year and make wishes for the coming year.

Thank you to all the supportive parents for your cooperation in accomplishing this great activity for the children. Learning activities like this is important in order for our students to develop in various aspect. In addition, the krathongs that the learners made will be used by their families to add more happiness in celebrating and preserving the Loi Krathong tradition of Thailand.
