Secondary 1 EWL: Glimpse of New Zealand
EWL teachers planned and enjoyed the virtual tour in New Zealand together with the Secondary 1 EWL learners. New Zealand is one of the most gorgeous countries on earth and even with its modest size, it has a lot of history, culture, and attractions for any of us to experience. Specially if they want to visit as a tourist or as a student there.
Students learned about some of the unique things about New Zealand. English slangs used by its residents, stunning national parks, dynamic Māori culture, incredible hiking trails, and world-class skiing and surfing. They are also famous for their Manuka Honey. Manuka honey is produced by bees foraging on the flowers of the Manuka tree, a very special tree that only grows in New Zealand, sheep, wine, Lord of the Rings movie, kiwifruit, rugby and Haka (a posture dance in Māori culture).
